Helping Graduates Take Their Next Step
Through this new program we want to help young adults, typically 18-24 years of age to discover their talents and prepare them to step into the world in order to confidently live out their own lives.
Our Approach
Mission
It is the mission of the Pinehaven GAP Ministry to provide a Christ-centered, discipleship rich-environment for exploring who Christ has made us and how He wishes us to use the talents and abilities He has placed within us.
By utilizing the Pinehaven Christian Ranch facilities and the multiple servants we have come to know and love, we seek to give students a hands-on experience, learning and utilizing life skills lost in today’s urban lifestyle — all the while exploring the talents and abilities placed within each one of us by our Lord and Savior, with the intention of learning how to best use these talents and abilities to serve the Kingdom.
The courses are meant for young men and women who would like the opportunity to step out of their comfort zone and expand the talents that many don’t even realize they have.
For our Apprentices there are also opportunities to finish their high school diploma or utilize our facilities to take their college courses online.
Many Ways to Help
Pray
Pinehaven has been richly blessed by God and by God’s people. Our first and foremost need has always been and always will be prayer. Please pray daily for the young people who are in our program. Pray that the Holy Spirit will work powerfully in their lives, touching each one with the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Please pray for our staff — dormparents, instructors, and administration — for His wisdom, discernment, and guidance. We ask that you pray for God’s supply of the dormparents and instructors we need to help these young people effectively.
Pray also that our staff will have the physical, spiritual, and emotional strength to handle the sometimes very difficult situations that arise. And don’t forget to thank God for the work He has already done, is currently doing, and will do in the future in helping the young adults in our program.
Work
Each summer we host weeklong work groups to help us cut wood for the year, bundle plenty of hay, plant a big garden, clear out the woods, finish a new building, make repairs, and restore equipment. Participants also get to see Pinehaven in action firsthand.
Give
Pinehaven is a non-profit ministry that relies entirely on the contributions of individuals and churches to meet expenses and expand the program. Put another way, we don’t solicit or accept government funds, thereby avoiding some of the potential “baggage” that might accompany such funds. Please prayerfully consider the possibility of a monetary gift to help Pinehaven continue, as God wills.
